El Centinela was opened in 2001 by four siblings with a dream. The dream was to create delicious Mexican food at a reasonable price. Today we are thriving and thanks to our loyal customers we are kindly referred as League City’s gem.

Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. We care about our guests because without them we would not stand today.

This place is about flavor and value. Sure the Tamales wont be like the one your grandma makes, but they come close and go over the top with the gravy and cheese. Their tortas are tasty their tacos hit the spot and their horchata is just stunning. Go there for lunch, because if there’s one Latin American tradition they emphasize it’s eating an incredibly filling lunch for an incredibly fair price. When it comes to mexican food, this is LC’s hidden gem.
They have the best queso I have ever found. I have moved into Houston, so this place is now about a 40 minutes drive from home. But we still make it a point to get down there for some good food. Everyone I have taken there with me goes away pleased.
Excellent breakfast taquitos of many different kinds. Great salsa too! Open daily at 7am. Best breakfast place in LC so far.
